Always drink wine on a day ending in "Y"

A batch of red wine and just in time, drank last bottle yesterday, so here we are with Jack Weeks in Making Wine tasting and looking forward to the next 30 bottles......

Substantial Happy Hour at the clubhouse

We arrived in Country Maples, Chemainus a week and a day ago and it didn't take long to get into the routine, get up, walk the dog, coffee in clubhouse at 9, more tall tales and rehashed adventures, walk the dog and myself again and longer. Shocked at the prices at the grocery store, the price we pay to live in Paradise!!!!!! Trips to Victoria to Woofles Barking Boutique and work.....make wine as Art drank his last bottle tonight and refuses to pay anymore than $3 a bottle.....substantial happy hour tonight, great turn out, and of course lots of laughter about sex, such an agreeable subject ...pool, shuffleboard and of course the Canucks on big screen TV...if anything exciting happens will post.

Working at Woofles

My first day back to work at Woofles Barking Boutique, the pay is not great but a fun job meeting dogs and dog and cat owners...Loco the resident cat is entertaining and gets his picture taken frequently....who takes pictures of someone elses cat????? just a little crazy. Took Simmah (3 1/2 lb. Chi.) home for the week to visit with Grampa and Gramma

Home in Country Maples, Chemainus

Left Camperland, Chilliwack, this morning at 9 and caught the 12:45 Inspiration ferry, (it is one of the new ferries) very nice, we were impressed.... $198, 55' includes Tracker and we rode free, damn that is expensive......Checked in to Site E where we will be parked until June 18th.....going to collect our mail tomorrow and start our income tax, yuk! Oh well, maybe the government will send us money, joke....

Welcome back party

Mamie and Lorne hosted a welcome home party for Art and I...wonderful to see so many friends...Mel, on the left and I go way way back....Donny O commented that my ass looks better now than it did as a teenager, hence the picture.....had a great time and looking forward to the World's Fair (Agassiz Corn Festival) in Sept.

Arrive Camperland

Left Ferndale at 10:00 after getting diesel at our favourite station, $2.28 a gallon. Crossed border without incident. Sun is shining and we check into Camperland, this is wonderful weather, chilly but nice. Havoc loves the walk to the Falls and wading in the creek, dirty dog needs a bath.

Shopping

Last minute shopping to pick up beer, cheese and wine. $4.99 for 2 lbs. of Tillamook, wow. New favourite beer, Bud Light Lime. Stopped to fill up Tracker with gas, dead battery, lucky we were close to a store, bought new battery and on our way again. Thank heavens I was not alone or BCAA would have been called again.

The Cedars, Ferndale WA

We arrived at The Cedars, Ferndale at 3 pm today after breezing through Seattle, wow! Stayed night #2 at a PA park in Talent, OR, $14 a night and free wifi, nice place to spend the night, maybe a little trailer trashy, but safe and there is a 25 mile walking trail along the river from Ashland to Medford.....Havoc and I only made it a mile.....night #3 was spent in Junction City, Garanty RV repair site with 50 amp......had the fridge and slide repaired...great service. Had to get out the long pants, damn it's cold.

Talent, OR

2nd stop after leave DHS is a PA park in Talent, OR....$14 a night, right off I-5, free wifi, Engenius really helps.....a little trailer trashy but safe and a 25 mile walking trail along the river from Ashland to Medford....good place to stay...

Santa Nella

Have not figured out how to take pictures yet and add them to the blog....so that is next....we stayed in MacDonalds parking lot in Santa Nella, CA ........OMG you should see the yellow bug guts on the window, yuk...coming from no bugs to bugs...... now I have to figure out how to send this to everyone.......love a challenge....and I guess I don't have to sign off.
