Buffet/casino - weight/winning

Well, I really did it yesterday. Judy is staying at The Spa Casino Resort, I joined her for a buffet lunch, she won $150 and bought, need I say more? It was fantastic and then came dessert - bread pudding, cheesecake, cherries jubilee, apple crisp, flan, sugar free cheesecake, and soft ice cream, yup, that is what I ate, needless to say I didn't not need dinner. It was so GOOD! OMG, notice how I topped if off with sugar free cheesecake, ha ha! Then we go to the casino, for those of you who know me, I don't gamble, I like to get something for my money, anyway, put in a twenty, that is all I had, and lost $4 so moved to a different machine and said I would only lose one more dollar then quit, well, I ended up winning $40 so of course I quit, Judy thinks I should put more money in, no way, $60 in my pocket and I quit. All in all it was a great day, chatting with an old friend and winning money.

Palm Trees and Snow

Palm trees in paradise and Olympics in Palm Springs?
The fans are turned off and the heat is turned back on, just the way we like it.
5 days of rain put all outdoor activities on hold and now the golf courses are booked solid, but we did manage to get a tee time for tomorrow, yahoo!
The desert will come alive after all this rain, looking forward to getting back to our morning hikes, Havoc and I.

New Years Resolution!

This is a recent, fabulous sunset picture taken by Paulette from Catalina Spa in Desert Hot Springs. Very interesting skies lately. Not impressed with the rain, most in the area since 1988. The desert flowers will be in full bloom after all this rain, so there is always a bright side.

My new years resolution is to DO IT! Do not put off until tomorrow what you can do today. If it feels good, do it! Well, I haven't really had time to do anything and to tell you the truth I think I am doing what I want. Life is grand!
